PPI – Even Armed Forces were Duped

As massive reductions to the armed forces are planned from 2015; with cuts of more than 11,000 soldiers being forecast, the UK’s armed services will be the smallest it has been since early Victorian times.

The Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) scandal caught many servicemen and women in its net of deceit. Providing sickness cover is a main criterion, or benefit of PPI, but is worthless for those already covered against accident or sickness.

Claims for compensation from members of the armed services are high, involving many naval personnel stationed at Portsmouth, and in barracks up and down the country. Many have not given it a second thought about making a claim, and may not even know that they are eligible to make one.

If think you qualify to make a PPI refund claim, whether armed forces or no longer serving, its worth checking!

But not all PPI complaints will result in a bank or lender offering compensation. The bottom line is, if you’ve had a loan anytime in the last 10 years you, and you purchased payment protection insurance, then you could be entitled to a refund!

Here at Consumer Finance Claims we look to recover the full cost of the policy plus interest if we believe that you have been mis-sold PPI. Even if the loan is still running we can look to reduce your ongoing payments as part of our negotiations

The words scandal, payment Protection Insurance, and gross overpricing, are now forever linked. Not only was the product mis-sold, it was also massively overpriced. Hopefully, following this ‘clear up’ of the system, anyone now taking out a mortgage or a personal loan and wanting some protection; will receive truthful and impartial  advice, have competitive rates to choose from.

With more unemployment and redundancies in the public sector still to come, PPI is a product which homebuyers should not ignore. For those who are not aware of payment protection insurance; it is an insurance policy which pays out a regular monthly sum to cover mortgage or personal loan repayments should the policyholder be made unemployed, or unable to work through accident or sickness.

Anyone who suspects they may have been mis sold payment protection insurance should delay no longer, now is the time to take steps to get your money back. This is not a complicated process; just give one of our team a call and we will quickly help establish if there is money due to you. You’ll get an honest answer, one way or another.
